The overarching research interest in our group is by using structural biological including electron microscopy (EM) and x-ray crystallography, biochemical, biophysical and genetical techniques to characterize protein-ligand interaction in context of cellular function to obtain insights into the mechanism of biological activity. 

     In particular, we are now focusing on: 1) the molecular mechanism of biological nitrogen fixation; 2) the molecular mechanism of signaling transduction on cell surface; 3)  the structural basis for enzymes involved in protein post-translational modifications.
